390 FE Using allot of oil

I have a FE 390 that uses allot of oil. One quart in the first one hundred mile and if I do not add that quart it will use another two quarts in seventy five miles. The engine DOES NOT SMOKE, DOES NOT HAVE OIL ON PLUGS, DOES NOT LEAK. The engine has been redone twice with same out come. Can any one on this Forum or on earth help me? If you run your finger on the inside of the tailpipe is it oily?

Is a "FE" 390 any different than a regular 390?

Are pro's doing these "redone's"? are standard rebuild procedures being followed?

An ancient 390 Ford? What?
