I'ver tried releasing the underdash latch (which isn't making a noise when released)and pushing the safety latch with a screwdriver. To no avail...does anyone know how to get the hood open when the latch stops working?
This type of question gets asked a lot. Search this forum and see what you find. Then go find another car like yours and look over how it is made. That should give you some ideas. Otherwise, a body repair shop is probably your best resource.
