I used to drive in NYC several times a week. One thing I find in KC is that drivers are either too timid or polite, or go bananas on you if you ever have to use the horn when the make a bad move in front of you. It seems like NYC drivers were much better drivers, as traffic is much more challenging and they all have to work together to get anywhere. Recent studies have supported this, finding that KC drivers are some of the worst in the country.

Can you speak to any factors that might influence drivers skills in different metro areas?

Early mergers hold the whole system up. Grow up and take turns merging at the merge point. Didn’t we all learn to cooperate in kindergarten?
