From the RadioWest Inbox:

I have 2 great book suggestions.

The book Wicked is so fun. I loved reading it. A fantastic gift would be giving it with Wicked tickets for this spring.

Also, Lust for Life, it is such a fabulous book about Van Gogh. My husband and I just read it and both of us thought it was great.

Thanks, Kate

"Northern Clemency" is a fantastic book taking place in 1974 in northern England. The entire book takes place in the Thatcher era of England and the intertwining lives of the Glover and Sellers families. You are drawn in immediately and it definitely takes your mind off your troubles. I have to say, though, the reading Dickens during these troubled times is fortifying to the spirit, realizing that as dismal as the lives of Dickens characters are, there is always a burst of the human spirit that comes through. I think we need to know that as bad as things are, somewhere and somehow good comes through.
