Like Seeing an All Around Team

Why don't we use Castille to power into the end zone?

I feel our team talent is finally being utilized. Castille ran in our first touch down against Texas Tech. Why didn't we use him to power in any of those end zone plays that could have won the game - we had a few chances and didn't let him run it in.

I agree completely sir! We should have ran it in OT at least once... we had them on their heels... but Ganz was on fire. No reason to cry over spilt milk... it isn't like we were going to win the Big 12 Championship this year anyways. I hope our team continues to improve... and we can make it into a bowl game and DESTROY our competition. That would make this season a success in my eyes.

Re: Like Seeing an All Around Team
I think another issue with Castille really does come down to his ball control. Coaches have him carrying a ball with him to class on campus just to prove their point. I heard a few guys saying that Castille's fumble rate was 1 in every 17 carries as of the Kansas game. Until Castille can consistently prove that he can handle the ball with care, I think coaches are going to continue to under-utilize him.

I'm really going to miss Ganz and am sorry that he didn't get another year or two to play quarterback for us (I found him more impressive than Keller). I know they want to be a big defensive run team, but for me there's nothing more exciting than a good throwing quarterback! I don't know anything about our upcoming quarterbacks. I don't know how many of the superstar Big 12 quarterbacks are coming back, but I hope we will have an upcoming quarterback of our own to be competitive with the top teams.

Ganz threw for our first two touch downs to catch up with Colorado, and second half it became all about running Helu - running him three times in a row got very predictable. Don't get me wrong, I find him quite exciting to watch too! I like to see it all done well and have a good mix! Go Huskers!

I would like to give a shout out/props to our kicker. Wow, was that winning field goal against Colorado impressive! Kickers can make and break games, and I don't think they get enough recognition. I noticed that the coach gives props to the center at the end of the game - that's another position you rarely hear about unless they boggle a hike.
