This was a very infromative show and brings up the question of profiterring. I think we need to go with either a public choice or private heavily regulated by a board made up of consumer's.

Re: Bob Edwards and Wendel Potter
Did Mr. Potter have to sign a confidentiality pact with Cigna? On a much, much lower level, when I have attended pharmaceutical company sponsored "educational" talks at fancy restaurants and hotels, resorts (also known as marketing, I have been forced to sign confidentiality pacts, or else I would have to leave the program on the spot. I had to agree to never disclose anything I heard at the talk! It is intimidating, ridiculous, but causes the attendees to continue their good behavior and continuing to be friends of big pharma. Due to conscience problems I now try to resist all contact with Pharma, but it is hard. They put candy in my work mail box, send me e mails, invite me to baby showers for my co-workers which are really pharma "talks",tell me that we have a lot in common even when I tell them that their companies' practices are unethical. So, I was just wondering. If he had to sign a confidentiality pact, his "speaking truth" finally shows even more bravery.

I don't know. If you ask me he should be protected by the whistle blowing laws. Divulge the McDonald's recipe for their secret sauce... yes prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.
Expose how insurance companies make more profits by shedding sick people and people at risk (not due to personal choice such as smoking)… protect them.
