For bless his darling heart, how he does love to turn a simple problem like a 60 year dictatorship over Gaza into so super complex an issue that only the 30% with college level intelligence can understand it.
Take those twenty thousand word assays that attempt to refute all the brainwash put out by dictator Israel-USA since 1949, and how the anger does flare in his heated debates. For though his abundance of dates and events always win the argument, and savior of the world to the academic community he surely be, never does he fail to do violence to the simple peasant people in Gaza, the very ones he clams to support.
For Linguistics Professor Noam surely must know that the last thing anyone should do in conflict resolution is to amplify on the bloody effects of the problem. First restrict all discussion to the cause of the anger, then the solution becomes self-evident. Gaza for example, in 1949 a dictatorship was established over Palestine by Israel, and since then land belonging to Moslems has constantly been taken by deadly force. Solution, all talk of a signed agreement is pure hypocrisy, and the slavery will never end until we disarm the dictator.
For when long winded discussions center on things like babies being cremated by white prosperous in Gaza, the stress, horror and complexity blinds the mind by burning the emotions. Result being that people back away from the war, and let our paid actor politicians do as they please with the war.
Take the way Norm asks us to forgive the Hamas freedom fighters for being terrorists. For it’s obvious, he claims, that slaves do not have a right to shoot rockets at the civilian voters who enslave them.
Sure wish Noam would use facts instead of just words to prove his point, for common horse-sense tells us:
(1) In their war on Gaza, Israel has a burden to keep civilians out of the war zone, a zone of their own making as it includes all of Gaza and as far away as a cheep small rocket can reach.
(2) Dictator voters do not have the right of self-defense, especially the right to use human shields. For those who establish a dictatorship have only themselves to blame, if their children or others get harmed in the process.
(3) Noam is not a pacifist, and should not take the hypocritical position that, a slave has not the right to bomb the families of those who are killing his family. For the dictators who now rule Israel were children in 1949 when the dictatorship over Gaza was established.
(4) For the Bush war on terror is actually a war on peace, and we Americans are the most ungodly terrorists the world has ever known. For since we wasted 110,000 civilians by dropping the A-bomb on Japan, and this after the war had been won, until today when Obama bombed and killed a family of eight to get one terrorist, we have slaughtered one religious government after another.
(5) For in our secular government, the 70% laboring class are so disfranchised most refuse to vote; Democrats are the 15% lower middleclass, Republicans are the 15% upper middleclass; and those supremely intelligent who run corporations, they fund elections and own all politicians body and soul.
(6) Principle of all moral and civil law: “No one shall enrich themselves upon the misery of another.” Comes now the news and we to see Israel dressed in wealth, with ultra modern schools, skyscrapers, freeways, most homes worth over 100k, and kids so smiley and plump. While Palestine look’s so bombed out, impoverished, tens of thousands living in shacks and tents, not one child overweight, and none one with a smile on their face.

You campaigned against the Vietnam War, while I fought in it, and in the grand scheme of things surely it was a high water mark for both of us. For if the purpose of this world is not to prove the harm in it, then a slave to the next man more intelligent is our destiny, and the only option to maximize pleasure.
In a most inspiring way you have enlightened us of what a fake morality is all about, namely big business controlling government, trading killing machines for oil and starting wars for glory and profit. So notwithstanding Jews, Christians and Muslims trying to out genocide each other, what if we came up with a morality they could all live in peace with?
So for a moment let us see if some agreement can be reached, what with all the hypocrites in government claiming to be ordained by God, to kill in the name of God. The standard politics being that those of the intelligent elite should use the most advanced principles of logic, establish a moral standard for government and force it upon us with no questions asked.
But we of the laboring class have not the intelligence to understand their elite morality, and will always reject it as slavery pure and simple. And the idea that only those most intelligent are fully able to know morality, and have a right to force upon others their morality, this is the root cause of all corruption in society.
For true morality is self evident. As we want no one to enrich themselves at our expense, and those who so are most secret about it. For this is the fundamental principle of all law, be it civil, criminal or moral, "No one shall enrich themselves upon the misery of another."
Our highest priority, the conviction that controls every aspect of our mind, character and personality, this is our perception of what we deserve. For some feel they deserve less, and with a grateful heart give all they can to even the score. But most feel they deserve more, and with a guilt free conscience take all that the law will allow. A destiny beyond our choice or desire.
For in this life we have a doomed existence, which gives us a fear of death and a burning desire to seek all pleasure and avoid all pain, as only pleasure can kill the thought of death. So it all depends on our perception of what we deserve, and what gives us pleasure as we strive to even the score.
So the first step is to allow no corporation or person to contribute more then $10 to any election, that is common horse sense. Then create a government where all laws and decisions are made by popular vote; make full disclosure absolute; fire everyone in the CIA; and rot in jail shall any politician who dares say, "Trust me."
For surely trust is the root cause of all secrecy and corruption in government.

Read your thoughts with interest. I hope that your statement that "we of the laboring class have not the intelligence to understand their elite morality" is intended to be sarcasm. It should be.

Question: The 1.4 million peasant farmers in Gaza no one wants, do they have the intelligence to earn a living wage in a high-tech global economy?
Having worked for 3M Co, AT & T, Honeywell Corp, and US Army, I could always tell in a high level meeting the man with highest rank, the one who told the best jokes and cut with the sharpest sarcasm.
Read books like The Bell Curve, Up the Down Staircase, and the issue boils down to which is prerequisite. Does ambition spring from intelligence, or ability to learn spring from ambition? For surely, if you don't have the intelligence to do it, you have no desire or ambition to waste time trying.
Having taught vocational school in two different school districts, and being administrator of a 100 family private school, know from experience that 50% of US children have not the intelligence to get a high school diploma, and 70% have intelligence below that of college level.
But there are fast thinkers like you, and slow and careful me. For the ability to acquire wealth and be the first to kill, this is the speed a brain takes to rationalize a problem and take corrective action. This is physical intelligence
Then there is the slowness a laboring man takes to reflect on a problem and the careful way he endures an impossible situation. This is wisdom.
Noam
It's true that the US and Israel have sought desperately to reduce Gaza to the lowest possible level, but there cannot be any doubt that with opportunities, Gazans can function in a high tech economy as well as Israelis -- or, say, Koreans, who were at the level of a poor African country 50 years ago. There's no relevance to the Bell Curve, etc., even if one takes it seriously.

The mind has an imagination, an ability to image the real and be in the light, or to wander in meaningless fiction and be locked in darkness. Truth being light and illusion being darkness.
So how does one know when their imagination has discovered new reality? News being new reality, propaganda being new fiction,
While a technician at Honeywell Corporate Research Center, very keen were the scientists that I always referenced the instruments used in an experiment, such as measuring weights and measures, back to the Natural Bureau of Standards. But the problem was, though I was required to always go from things known to discover things unknown, those above me often tried to go from an unknown to an unknown. This was one of the main reasons I went to 3M Co, as exploring fiction was my idea of nothing to do.
About ten years later while translating the ancient Greek manuscripts into English, I discovered what I call the law of absolute logic,
"By the testimony of two things known to be true, or three, shall be established as equally true every matter." Mt 12:18.
So far I have found this same statement 12 times in Scripture, and I still have 90% of the Old Testament to translate.
Intelligence for example, having talked to those who work in mansions and the Salvation Army, I have discovered two absolute things, most all who live in mansions have genius intelligence, and all of the permanent homeless have not the intelligence to earn a living wage. Most all homeless are men as impoverished women are most often given homes, and those who live on the street are too intelligent to be institutionalized.
For 60 years now most all the refuges in Gaza who can earn a living wage have moved away. And rightly so, for would you, I or anyone else with the smarts to work stay impoverished from birth to death?
Once while explaining this to one of the middleclass, they got most angry at me for saying that someone was dumb. Now why do you suppose they thought it shameful to be dumb?
My hope is that you have facts to back up your assumption, as prove me wrong I wish you dearly could. For raised in the slums of Milwaukee, Minneapolis and LA were my brother, sister and I, and a grade of D was our norm.
Your reasons for rejecting a vegetarian diet, they appear to show that you only reflected on it for but a moment. A minor miracle if you should have a change of heart, for I ran a nature food store for 11 years, gave lectures on nutrition to hundreds and to my knowledge not one has ever improved their diet. Now why do you suppose that is?
Noam
Can't challenge your personal experience. Mine is completely different. On Gaza, the population has been caged for years and can't leave. That includes those who are awarded grants for advanced study in the West.
John
I give you truth, self-evident reality, and though it's unnecessary I establish it with physical facts, also self-evident and easy to prove.
You refuse to except the light, and in return send a generality that you know has exceptions, for Gaza gates have been open more years then not since 1949. Your logic is not valid.
Now you don't sound like my best friend Noam, blunt, cold and anti-friendly that you be. Is there someway you can prove your real, not just a figment of some paid actor’s imagination?
