If you are looking for a football coach who also coaches girls basketball in any of the classes in South Dakota - not just B, then look to Tom Rogers from Stanley County. I believe the long time Buffalo girls basketball coach has also been the head football coach there for a couple of years.
Coach Dallas Richter was boys football coach and girls basketball coach for 4 years for New Underwood. and took the girls to state three years in a row 06,07, and 08. Coach Nelson is now the boys football coach and girls basketball coach for new underwood
New Underwood has a new Head Football coach(Clint Nelson) that took the boys to the playoffs for the 1st time in .....long time. Coach Nelson also took over girls basketball coaching position after coach Richter resigned prior to beginning of basketball season.
Presley and Logan O'Farrell from Summit are the daughters of former Miss Basketball South Dakota Lori Wohlleber any other former SD stars with kids playing in this years tourney?
? Who played in the first Girls B Tournament in SD? Year? Where?
perhaps a little half time entertainment or info to broadcast
could include past teams or highlight an outstanding team or players?
? How come there are so many male coaches for the young gals?
only one was Colman-Eagan!
When I was in high school--thirty plus years ago--there was no lady basketball team other than intramural/hobby ball sports for girls--only the boys played and had state tournaments? why was that? We've come a long way baby!! Go Girls!
Oh yeah--the girls were allowed to be cheerleaders...and now we have a whole troupe of male cheerleaders at the girls' basketball games! How things change!
for the better we see! Perhaps we are all becoming more enlightened human beings...
Elkton/LB team kicks butt! They got second in the tournament with their only starting Senior out of all three of the tournament games! They are one heck of a team with pretty much the full state team returning next year, too bad they are moving up to class A. With those three freshman, two sophomores, and 2 juniors returning they'll be a force to reckon with even in A's! Awesome Job girls!
