Should the U.S. admit more refugees from Iraq?
Does the American government have a special moral obligation to assist individuals who helped the United States on the ground in Iraq? How many Iraqis should be admitted?

I think we need to ask ourselves - do we want to have an national group within the US who\'s loyalty is going to be in question? As long as this state of war exists between Iraq and America, we really need to hold off on accepting refugees.
This would be unprecedented. In WWII, for example, Japanese and German refugees were not permitted for settlement. In fact, Japanese were isolated and closely watched. It was only after peace treaty was signed, when the refugees began to arrive in the US. Ditto for Vietnam.
The war is stupid and ugly, but bringing in Iraqi refugees will only make the situation worse.
