The American poor will still be poor, the American rich will still be rich, and those patriots and soldiers, who sacrificed themselves so that the children of their fellow countryman would live in a better America will still have died for nothing.
As long as the American people refuse to admit that their country, their society, and their American culture is being taken from them a day at a time, things will only get worse for America and the rest of the World that looks to the United States as a model of democracy and a home for those tortured patriots to regroup then rejoin the fight.
If the United States of America is ever to be held in the esteem of the rest of the World as it did during World War 2, it must earn this by first destroying that evil that has infiltrated its society and corrupted it.
America's economic problems are attached to our southern border:
• Why is this country feeding a monster?
• What responsibility do American citizens have to sacrifice feeding their own families, only to feed a people that American citizens have been feeding for decades?
• When did the United States adopt these countries who do nothing but request handouts then turn on the US once the money is in their hands?
• When will the people of the United States ever be able to recover the money given to those who create their own problems by over populating their own countries then force themselves into the US and make the American citizen pay again by loss of benefits earned by the American citizen through a lifetime of taxpaying but demanded by the foreigner as their right to have.
Wake up Americans and strike back. What good is an economy that feeds a foreign power and steals from the American citizens their rightful place that was earned for them by American sacrifices made years ago in wars that might soon be forgotten if the enemy has its way.
All Americans are duty bound to fight the invaders and those who would collaborate with them wherever they exist. It is the price of being American that Americans have always paid with their lives that makes the United States of America the land that it is. Free, as long as men are willing to pay that price and hold freedom above all things.
Worst foriegn policy challenge - Pakistan, if indeed we continue our focus on terrorism. I'm getting signals - both from within and without the media - indicating that Pakistan is losing or has lost its will to fight the Taliban or terroism in general. Under that scenario, Osama bin laden will continue to have a safe hiding place. A President Obama will have to decide whether or not to continue cross-border raids into Pakistan if he cannot get the Pakistani government to cooperate. That in turn will alienate the likes of Syria and possibly Jordan and can create a myriad of other problems related to the Middle East.
Was this a defining moment in world history? No, but it is a defining moment in US history.
The rather terse response from "the bullfighter" has some good points, albeit angrily administered. President Obama cannot change the living conditions of every soul on earth. In fact he has stated on numerous occasions that it is up to us - not him or the US government - but us, the people of the United States of America, who have to make it happen. That is the kind of leadership we haven't seen since John F. Kennedy and I'm afraid it is a point that has been largely ignored or lost on a vast majority of Americans. If we do not do what needs to be done, then it simply won't get done. So, yes, there will still be poor people 4 years from now, there will still be rich people 4 years from now. There will still be crime and war 4 years from now. But that is no reason to lose hope.
Frankly, I think the expectations are too high, even though Mr. Obama set those expectations. I believe in him though. He is right on many things, most notably that we need every American to do their part - to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, to kickstart our economy, to resolve some long standing social issues like healthcare.
