Chinese cars

Several Chinese car companies are displaying new models at the Auto Show in Detroit - one is an SUV that they say will sell for only $ 14,000. Industry observers predict that cars made in China are set to go on sale in the U.S. within months.

Would you buy a Chinese car?

Re: Would you buy a Chinese car?
Absolutely not. China has no environmental standards and buying anything from them is guaranteeing environmental damage.

Re: Would you buy a Chinese car?
No. Safety short cuts when manufacturing toys and baby food are risky enough. A car manufacturered in China would be an accident waiting to happen.

Re: Would you buy a Chinese car?
No, No, No. I was in China a few years ago. Nothing I saw wasn't falling apart except what was built a thousand + years ago. Maybe in 15-20 years.

Re: Would you buy a Chinese car?
I would buy a Chinese car as soon as Walmart starts selling them and I have a chance to test drive one and prove it's reliability and safety. Don

Re: Would you buy a Chinese car?
No way. Chinese products are unreliable and they have proven over and over this last year they can't even a make a toy to standards of the West.

Re: Would you buy a Chinese car?
I agree with bellnj which is very amusing as soon as Walmart starts selling them I will go check them out as well. In the meantime buy American has always been my motto

Re: Would you buy a Chinese car?
I would honestly buy one. I mean, China will soon become the largest market for cars and there are many Chinese car companies to meet that market. They have experience making cars, hell, millions are already driving them in China and I don't see the Chinese people crashing left right and center. I don't think China made cars as more dangerous than Americans.

Re: Would you buy a Chinese car?
I do not think i will ever buy one of thechinese counterfit cars or any o their production cars, they are death traps, if not see the safety tests and have your own conclussion.

Re: Would you buy a Chinese car?
Believe me, after having to drive my pick up FORD every day i am open to any suggestions. If a chinese car manufacturer proves to me that they are better than japanese cars, i'm in.

Re: Would you buy a Chinese car?
Never! Everything made there seems to be so unsafe and unsafe.

Re: Would you buy a Chinese car?
The Chinese car industry is a joke. 100% of their car designs are unsuccessful copies of German, Japanese or American cars. The safety and reliability ratings are extremely low(none) - basically all Chinese cars are coffins on wheels.
I will NEVER buy a Chinese car and will be very happy if the western countries simply ban the import from China.

Re: Would you buy a Chinese car?
Are those like Russian cars, 40 tons of iron and 2 MPG, and 25 HP. No way, I would rather walk, than buying a Chinese car; please do not even entertain with the ideas of importing Chinese cars.

Re: Would you buy a Chinese car?
I will not contribute to the continuing growning of China owning more and more of America by purchasing a vehicle made in China and sold through GM or any other company. It's not going to happen!!!!!! At the rate we're going eveyone else but Americans will own America!!!!!!!
Go figure............
