The Bush Administration has been under pressure to let more Iraqi refugees move to the United States. Now the administration is getting ready to admit up to 7,000 Iraqi refugees by the end of September. But critics say the number of refugees being allowed to come to the U.S. is still too small.
Should the U.S. admit more refugees from Iraq?
Does the American government have a special moral obligation to assist individuals who helped the United States on the ground in Iraq? How many Iraqis should be admitted?

Every Iraqi, and many others in the Middle East, have for over 50 years been preached to that the Jews. Christians, and the USA in general are evil things and they should not be dealt with on a friendly basis. The more of these people that we admit to our country, the more of a fifth column they make.
christians and jews have been living in the midleeast for 15 centuries ,the 3 comuniity were living in peace under muslim ruling ,when you go to syria irak yemen egypt.. you see churches ,synaguogues.the hatred exist in your mind ,spread by your politicians and the failed foreign policy of your governments ,and the 5th column is just your imagination.they spread fear to make you easy to manipulate
You're absolutely correct. Most people in the Middle East hate Israel, for obvious reasons. Israel ultimately has nothing to do with Judaism and certainly is not a Christian concept, unless you believe the End Times rapture nuts.
I say NNNNNNooooooooo! WAKE UP MORONS !!!!! BY ACCEPTING THEM In2 the country ,we r asking 4 Troubles. Yes, Trouble with BIGGGG T Lable on it.Remember De 911 incident? Who flew the Big Steel Birds n Crush in2 the TWIN Towers???????
Yes that's the right thing to do.But in the future those refugees will find out that they simply don't like Americans.America is increasingly racist and intolerant, thanks to CNN and Fox.Those refugees will end up excluded an feeling they don't belong in America. What will result from that?
Well, yeah, that why it's not a good idea to import Iraq refugees. There is no future for Iraq refugees in the US. Their future is in the Middle East in their own country. Nobody is going to rebuild iraq but the Iraqis.
Yeah, sure Iraquis rebuilding Irak, The US decided to start this mess, then the US HAS to solve it. Nobody asked the US to be the "cop of the world" the ยจ"libertarian". If the Americans want to keep the American way of life then American should avoid invading every other country with oil.....
we created this mess? ARe you kidding me!!!! What about the oklahoma city bombing, the two towers, the embacies that got blown up and killed hundreds of our soldiers? These terist actions all came from the same darn place. We were attacked, we responded. Maybe I wish we coudl get out, but Are you for mass genecide? because that is what will happen if we pull our troops out of iraq. As for allowing more iraq immigrants into the country, yes I think we should, if the government can for once do it right and let the good one in and keep the bad ones out. You know it's funny, leftist, oh sorry anyone not conservative thinks we went in there for oil, but when we didn't get the oil or even try for it, then it's WHY IS OIL AND GASS TO EXPENSIVE? WE WENT IN THERE FOR THE OIL? open your eyes, don't follow like sheep and look at how other people live. Just because you don't see it or us doens't mean its not important. And before I go I would like ot point out that people like me and my conservative EVIL associates were teh type of people that created this country, that allows you to live the way you do. There may have been some bad times but when the shit hits the fan, people like me will be the ones saving you butt!
Yes. The US should admit more Iraqi refugees. The US created this mess that they are in. The us should give the iraqi refugees refuge in this country 100%. It is not like they will blow up America or anything. Neighbouring countries should also be encouraged to take in Iraqi refugees. America will learn to accept them. You will see. Just like the same Iraqi refugees will take what they learned and seen in America back to Iraq when they go back and guard those oil wells with their lives.
Absolutely! I just returned from the UCC Annual Conference in NH, where we voted on a resolution, encouraging the US government to admit those who voluntarily risked their lives to help our forces in Iraq. To do otherwise is selfish and unworthy of our heritage.
