Listen to the Lieutenant Governor Debate hosted by VPR Wednesday, October 29, at 7pm.
Last year, the legislature passed a bill which increased the state homestead exemption to be exempt from paying your debts from $75,000 to $125,000. (H.206) Governor Douglas vetoed that bill for other reasons. Why should someone who strikes a pedestrian while driving drunk be allowed to
shield $125,000 equity in their home before being forced to pay the medical expenses of the pedestrian they struck?

I would like to know the candidates' positions on wind energy. If they are against it, I would like to know why. Many people opposed to wind energy cite aesthetic reasons such as "ruining the view", yet no one seems to mind the dizzying labyrinth of electrical power cables that blight our landscape.
For Brian Dubie - did you apply for or accede to consideration for the job of Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration?
Have you applied for or allowed yourself to be considered for any other federal jobs while Lt. Gov?
Do you really want this job? Why? What have you not accomplished during your terms that you still believe has yet to be done - and why haven't you already gotten it done?
details: I would like to ask the candidates about their commitment to the job. Brian Dubie has actively sought other jobs while LT. Governor: FAA administrator, ambassadorships, etc. Is he still interested in a complete
commitment to this job? Will the other candidates pledge to be commited 100% to the job if we elect them?

Sarah Palin claims to be pro-life and pro-capital punishment. A human life, whether it's a potential one in a uterus or a misused one on death-row, is still a human life. Please explain how one can share Gov. Palin's values without being either a hypocrite or a political misogynist?
