It's an interesting transition: freeform, alternative music to National Public Radio and back again -- but since September 24, 2007, radio listeners in Knox County have been able to tune to National Public Radio¿s (NPR) Morning Edition on Tri States Public Radio from Western Illinois University courtesy of Knox College¿s student operated WVKC 90.7FM.

Hi Everyone in Galesburg! From time to time I travel to Galesburg on business and when timing is right, will listen to Morning Edition on WVKC. What a wonderful addition to the airwaves in Galesburg. Hope there are more lisenters out there who feel the same way and will post to this list. We need to make sure everyone knows we appreciate having this valuable programming option available to us.
