$20 may not go as far these days as it used to... but, for Tri States Public Radio, $20 can still help out immensely! Hopefully you never feel that giving to TSPR is wasting your money, but chances are that you can easily remember at least one thing in your life that you have wasted $20 on (Billy the Bigmouth Bass?). What is that one thing you absolutely had to have... right up until the moment you got it home?
Well, maybe I've not dropped $20 at one time on "my vice," but certainly over time I've spent MUCH more than that purchasing ice cream or other sweet treats that I know I should not have. Most times I've regretted my purchase as soon as I left the store and with each bite I took! I think giving $20 to Tri States Public Radio is a good way to keep me from eating ice cream!
I've never wasted $20 on ANYTHING--not on the pair of pants hanging in my closet--that were (and still are) 2 sizes too small; not on the "gag" gift for my father-in-law that sits in his closet; not on the CD that I forgot I already own; not on the flower seeds and plants I failed to plant and are still in the garage! NEVER--wasted $20 on anything. HA--as you can see, I am joking--all those things were a waste, but not my $20 contribution to the most important source of news and music in this region. If I gave the money to Tri States Public Radio every time I've made a bad purchase, they'd be able to cancel this $20 campaign! Keep up the good work--and I hope more people will fess up to their mis deeds.
